Aquariums have been around for a long time, and often times people can become board at one unless there is something extraordinary. The following are four aquariums that seemed to stand above the rest in the case of their unique exhibits.

Georgia Aquarium

Now the largest in the world, the Georgia aquarium is home to over 100,000 marine animals that live in a total of 8 million gallons of water. It is one of the few in the world that houses whale sharks. The wide variety of animals has made the aquarium grow to the size of 9.5 acres and the building is shaped as a giant ship. Though it is so large and known around the world, the Georgia Aquarium is not the most commonly visited in America.

Living Seas, Walt Disney

Located in the Epcot Center of Walt Disney, the Living Seas Aquarium takes first for most commonly visited across the United States. It also features one of the world's largest man-made ocean environments. When visiting the Florida area, this becomes a great tourist attraction for people from all over the world. Though not the largest, it is still a wonder to see.

AquaDom, Germany

When visiting Berlin, Germany, a must see sight is the 82 foot tall cylindrical glass aquarium called the AquaDom. This acrylic was made with a built-in transparent elevator. Located in the Radisson Blu Hotel, the AquaDom officially opened to tourists and locals alike in 2004.

Churaumi Aquarium, Japan

Coming in next is the Churaumi Aquarium located in Okinawa, Japan. Among its amazing exhibits is the 'Kuroshio Sea' tank that holds 1,981,290 gallons of water. Sharks, manta rays, and many other types of fish are all kept in this tank. With a acrylic glass panel measuring 27 feet by 74 feet with a thickness of 2 feet, this tank is the world's second largest to have such a glass panel.

Now, of course, these are not the most amazing aquariums you will ever see. Around the world, people are creating and designing new ones and adding their own personal touches to them. Among these are the toilet bowl, a sink that is a fish tank, a sofa with aquariums attached to the sides, and many more that seem to defy everything we know of proper furniture.

To truly find a unique aquarium, one must find someone willing to personally design one for them. For truly, the most unique and spectacular would be a one-of-a-kind.
